Giovanni Maciocia

Giovanni Maciocia trained in the U.K. at the International College of Oriental Medicine (graduated 1974) and the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (1977). In 1980, 1982 and 1987 he completed three postgraduate courses in acupuncture at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he also learned Chinese. In 1996 he was appointed Visiting Professor at that university. Giovanni is the author of several textbooks that are widely used in schools of East Asian medicine around the world including The Foundations of Chinese Medicine, The Practice of Chinese Medicine, Diagnosis in Chinese Medicine, The Channels of Acupuncture, Obstetrics and Gynecology in Chinese Medicine, and The Psyche in Chinese Medicine..
